Malaysia Airlines has become the first Malaysian carrier to receive the International Air Transport Association Fast Travel Green certificate in recognition of the airline’s efforts in making passengers’ travel more flexible and convenient via its self-service facilities.
Heathrow sees record 75.7m passengers in 2016
Heathrow welcomed a record 75.7 million passengers in 2016, up one per cent on the previous year. Passenger charges fell by one per cent at the UK’s largest airport, as Heathrow retained its position as Europe’s best hub for the third year running.
airBaltic launches new route to Abu Dhabi
airBaltic will launch a direct service between Riga and Abu Dhabi on October 29th, 2017. The Latvian airlines will operate the Riga-Abu Dhabi route four times weekly with a long-range Bombardier CS300 aircraft.
IAG sees pre-tax profits rise for financial 2016
International Airlines Group has reported pre-tax profits of €2.5 billion before exceptional items for the year to December 31st, 2016. The figure is up 32.7 per cent on that of 2015.
